How to Use AdSense Code on Multiple Websites

Google Adsense is a advertising program that allows users to place an advertisement on their websites by including special code on their site. The advertisements contain either images or texts that are relevant to the specific websites. Every time someone clicks on the advertisements, you will earn revenue.

What You'll Need:

  • Google Adsense account

1.  Log onto your Google Adsense account and select the "Adsense Setup" tab, then click "Get Ads."

2.  Click the "Adsense for Content" link then select "Ad Unit." Keep the default setting on the drop-down menu; this will give you the most options in creating your ad.

3.  Create your ad by selecting the colors that will make it blend into the colors or theme of your website. Select the size of your ad as well as the colors of the background and text. You can experiment with several different settings and view samples while you experiment to give you a better idea of what the ad will look like.

4.  Give the ad a name so you can identify it in your account. This enables you to manage the ad and edit it later, if needed.

5.  Copy the provided code of the Adsense ad that you created to place on a website.

6.  Open up your HTML text editor and open up the source code of one web page to which you want to add the code. Then paste the Adsense code inside the "<BODY>" and "</BODY>" tags in the HTML code of your web page.

7.  Save all the changes you've made and upload the updated file to your server. The Adsense ad will now appear on your web page after you refresh your screen.

8.  Repeat the steps six through eight in order to place the Adsense code on another web page. Repeat these steps if you want to add the Adsense code to more than one web page.
