Decide on replacement tile. It is important to think about what type and style of replacement tile will be used.
After the tile decision has been made you will then remove all of the old tile. Use a small drill with a masonry bit to drill a couple of holes into the tile.
Remove the grout. You will then take a chisel and scrape out the grout around the tile. Then take a screwdriver and pick out the shattered tiles. You can also use the chisel and hammer to break the tile apart.
To replace the mold line the bottom of the new tile square with tile cement. You only have to apply this in a few short lines. Then put the tile in place and allow it to dry.
You will then use grout of the same color to line the gaps of the tile. Make sure you get the grout deep down into the grooves of the tile.
Use a wooden stick, or plastic putty knife, to wipe away the excess grout before it dries. You can remove the rest with a damp rag or sponge.
