How to Record Music From YouTube

Recording music from YouTube is a great convenience. Sometimes things that are recoded in a YouTube video can't be found to download or purchase anywhere on the Internet. By being able to record the YouTube video into audio and use it as an MP3, you can listen to the video with any MP3 compatible device.  

• Find the video you want to record from YouTube. This doesn't necessarily have to be music; it can be any YouTube video with audio.


• Look for the video with the best sound quality. Because you are recoding the video to an MP3 and not watching it, but listening to it, the quality of the video is not important. Find all the videos with the same audio that you want recorded. Go through the videos to determine which one has the best audio.


• Search the Internet for a YouTube converter. There are a number of these converter programs. Most of them are free and there is no need to pay for one.


• Use the instructions given with the converter program to convert your YouTube video to an MP3. The program should ask for the URL of the video you wish to convert. To get this URL, go to the video that you wish to record and highlight the address of the webpage. Right click on the highlighted area and select copy.


• Paste the copied URL into the converter and select the format you want it to convert the video to. For most purposes, this should be either MP3 or MP4 format.


• Download the recording and open it in a music playback software such as iTunes. Make sure the newly created MP3 works correctly. The quality may not be perfect as it loses some quality during the conversion.
