How to Make Aromatherapy Massage Oil
Aromatherapy is a great way to treat many ailments effectively and naturally. Some of those ailments include muscle aches, tension, stress, stress and some pain. Good homemade aromatherapy oils can be used to give a relaxing massage to help with those ailments. The aromatherapy oil must be done correctly in order for it to work effectively.
How to Make Aromatherapy Massage Oil
Materials Needed
- Base oil
- Small bowl
- Essential oil
- Stirrer
- Funnel
- Bottle
1. Select base oil or carrier oil. Some of these oils include almond, avocado, grape seed, olive, jojoba or sunflower oil.
2. Pour 2 ounces of the base oil into a small bowl.
3. Pour in three to six drops of essential oil. Essential oils can be purchased abundantly online. You can also inquire with an herbalist or natural food stores about where to purchase them. They come in many different scents such as lemon, orange, lavender and peppermint. Adjust the drops according to your needs. If you have sensitive skin, you should use fewer drops.
4. Blend the oils with a stirrer to blend them well.
5. Place a funnel in a bottle and pour the oils into it. Place a cap or a cork on or in the bottle. Shake the bottle. Allow the bottle to sit for 5 days so the oils can further blend together.
6. Check the strength of the oils. Pour more essential oils in the bottle if you like. Allow the bottle to sit for a week if you add more essential oil.
