How to Install Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft Powerpoint is a presentation program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It is made to run on Microsoft Windows and Apple's Mac operating systems. The documents that are designed in PowerPoint can be displayed or printed on a slide projector or a video. It is a user-friendly program that is easy to install.

How to Install Microsoft PowerPoint



  1. Insert the PowerPoint installation disc in the CD ROM drive door of your computer. It will automatically open once the disc is inserted and a dialog window will appear prompting you to enter your user information. 

  2. Enter the product key and your user information in the designated areas. The product key can be found on the back of the case that your installation disc came in. A green check mark will appear on the right hand side once the code has been entered.

  3. Read the agreement and place a check mark in the "I Accept This Agreement" field.

  4. Click on "Next" to continue to the initial installation process.

  5. Select "Typical Installation" to install the PowerPoint files and components to the hard drive of your computer.

  6. Click on "Microsoft PowerPoint" and then click on "Install applications with the Typical Options" when the installation screen appears. The program will immediately begin to download.

  7. Click on "Finish" when the installation process is complete. You will them be prompted to restart your computer.
