How to Find Dunlop Tires

How to Compare Prices on Dunlop Tires

Shopping for tires is one of those tasks people generally do not look forward to. Tires are expensive and no one wants to pay too much, so shopping around to compare prices on Dunlop tires is the smart thing to do. With just a little homework, you can get the tires you need at the best price.

  1. Know exactly which tire is right for your vehicle. If you purchased your vehicle used, do not assume that the tires that are already on it are the ones recommended by the manufacturer of your vehicle.  Open the driver’s side door; there is a manufacturer’s sticker on the inside of the door’s jamb that indicates what tire is recommended for your vehicle. Write that down. It should be something similar to 225/75 R15, but the numbers will vary.

  2. Go to Dunlop’s website, Dunlop.com, and research the tires they have available that match the size requirements for your vehicle.  Various types of treads are rated for different seasons, and of course, there are all-season radials. Look for a tread that has channels to allow water and snow to push out the side.

  3. Check with your local Dunlop tire dealers to compare prices on Dunlop tires. Please refer to their website to find the dealers nearest to you. Sears’ Automotive Center is a dealer for Dunlop tires. You can visit the store or call if it is more convenient, but tell them which size of tire you need and how many. If you are having the tire dealer replace, mount and balance them, get an estimate for the whole package.

  4. Compare prices online at websites like TireRack and eBay. Remember to include shipping in the cost, and when buying online, keep in mind that you will still need to have your automotive repair or tire shop change, mount and balance them for you. It may seem cheaper to buy the tires online, but you do not know for sure until you get an estimate from your mechanic to get them on your car. Add the cost of the tires, shipping and installation to get the total amount.

  5. Put your figures side-by-side. Only then can you be sure where you are getting the best possible deal. You can feel good knowing you did your homework and it paid off.
