How to Buy a Limo

An individual who wants to buy a limo will need to do some research before visiting a dealership. Finding the value of the limo will help the buyer during price negotiations. The buyer should also apply for a bank loan to find out the interest rate and how much money is needed for a down payment on the purchase.

  1. Research limousines to help you choose one to buy. Make a list of the features you want in the limousine and decide how much to spend on the purchase. You may want to get a pre-approval for a bank loan if you are going to finance the limo so you know how much money you need to put down.

  2. Find a website that lists limousine values to look for the price of a vehicle you are interested in buying. Check the boxes next to the options and accessories you want on the limo. Generate the pricing report and keep it with you when you discuss the purchase with a limousine dealer.

  3. Go to a local limousine dealership to shop for a vehicle. Ask a salesperson to show you different limos that are in your price range. Inspect the interior of the limos you like and take them for a test drive.

  4. Negotiate the purchase price with the limo salesperson. Read over the pricing report you brought from home to help you haggle. Once you arrive at a purchase price you can decide whether to finance the limo at the dealership or to use your bank for the loan.

  5. Ask the limo finance manager to submit an application to the dealer’s loan source so you can compare the interest rate with your bank’s loan rate. Find out how long the dealer’s lender can finance the limo for and decide which source to use for the loan. Fill out the loan paperwork and take delivery of your limo.
