How to Buy Shoes That Fit Perfectly

Have you ever tried on a pair of shoes in the store and thought they were comfortable, but the next day they are uncomfortable and hurt your feet? This is a common problem and without properly fitting shoes, you can end up in a lot of pain. In addition, other problems can arise from years of wearing the wrong size shoes.

  1. Remember that timing is
everything when buying shoes. If you shop for shoes in the morning,
everything will feel great. However, your feet tend to swell a bit
as the day goes on especially if you wear shoes all day. Therefore,
shop later in the day because this be your truer foot size, if the
shoes fit, then your feet will have time to goes through their
    normal expansion during the day.

  2. Don't assume you know your correct shoe size. If you have
lost or gained weight, your shoe size can and will change!
Therefore, if you were a size 6 and lost 20 pounds, you may now be a
5.5. Have your feet measured by a professional at the end of the
day. This will tell you what size you need, if you need a narrow
    width or wide.

  3. Try on different shoes in your now known foot size. Keep in
mind that some shoes will seem to fit your feet like a glove while
others will feel tight. Shoe manufacturers often make the sizes of
their shoes slightly different, which is why trying them on is
crucial. Think about clothing, some pieces of clothing you buy from
one manufacture fit better than others, it is the same concept with
shoes. When you try on shoes in your size, nothing should pinch,
including toes, heals, or the sides of your feet. If they pinch when
you try them on in the store, you can be sure they are going to be
    painful to wear all day.
