How to Bank Online

Banking online is a great way to bank and saves you a lot of time. You can pay your bills online, check your account balance, and transfer money from other accounts while sitting at home on your computer. You can bank online by contacting your bank and setting up an account. You will have a username and password to sign into your accounts online.

  1. Go to your bank and set up a new checking account if you don’t already have one. Tell them that you want to set up your account online. They will give you a username and password, as well as the website that you will need to navigate to.

  2. Navigate to the website your bank gave you. Sign on with the username and password you were given. Click the “Sign In” button. Your account will display on the screen. You will be able to see your current account balance, as well as any transactions that have been made for the current month. You can also look at past months, if you desire.

  3. Tell your bank that you want to pay bills online, if you prefer. You will be able to sign onto your account to pay some of your bills, such as your electric bill, your house payment, etc. This will save you time from having to write a check and mail it.

  4. Tell your bank that you want to link your checking account to a savings account, if you prefer. If you link your savings account and checking account together, you can sign onto your account and transfer money from one account to the other.
