Different Levels of Spiritual Development

There are three different levels to spiritual enlightenment; the road to each requires that you look not only within yourself, but also around you. It can take years to attain each level. While the concept of each sounds simple enough, to do it properly you need to look deep inside yourself.

• The first level on your path to enlightenment you are required to attain an understanding of yourself. You need to remove all interference and concentrate on how you feel and whom you are. Removing distractions removes the things that cloud your mind and feelings. It removes any possibility of being persuaded to feel a certain way.


• The second level of the path to enlightenment is to understand your connection to the world around you and your connection to nature. This is where you learn to erase the line between you and the world around you. You will come to the understanding of how you are not only part of everything, but everything is a part of you.


• The third level is where you no longer want things; you no longer expect to receive anything. To reach this level you give up all expectations of the mundane world around you, realize that you are at peace and become one with the world. Your actions are for the good of that world. This is where you attain true freedom and receive the light. Some say that you can only truly reach this after a lifetime of learning and coming full circle, at the time of your natural death.
