Basic Pizza Dough Recipe

Pizza dough is makes a wonderful dinner, especially when filled with plenty of pizza toppings! You can make a delicious pizza dough in your own home even if you are beginner. With simple ingredients and easy techniques, you'll have the perfect pizza dough to share with your family in little time!

Ingredients you'll need:



  • 2/3 cup olive oil

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 4 cups flour

  • 6 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • Pizza toppings (sauce, cheese, pepperonis, etc..)


Materials you'll need:



  • Large bowl

  • Wooden spoon

  • Pizza pan



  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.

  3. Mix the dry ingredients the bowl with a wooden spoon until well blended.

  4. Pour the olive oil into the bowl with the other ingredients.

  5. Mix the olive oil into the other ingredients using the wooden spoon.

  6. Pour the milk and water into the bowl with the other ingredients.

  7. Mix the milk and water into the bowl with the other ingredients using the wooden spoon.

  8. Pack the ingredients together using your hands until they form a ball of dough.

  9. Lay the ball of dough on a flat countertop.

  10. Knead the dough using your hands for two minutes.

  11. Place the kneaded dough onto a pizza pan. The pizza pan can be any shape you like. Round and square are the most popular pizza shapes.

  12. Press the dough to the pizza pan with your hands until it becomes flat and covers the area of the pizza pan. 

  13. Place the pizza dough in the oven for five minutes.

  14. Take the pizza dough out of the oven.

  15. Place pizza sauce and topping of your choice on the pizza. Topping can include cheese, pepperonis, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, or anything else you enjoy eating.

  16. Put the pizza dough with toppings back into the oven and let the dough finish baking. Bake the pizza dough for 10-15 more minutes or the crust is golden brown. 

  17. Take the pizza dough out of the oven and let the pizza rest on a countertop for five minutes.

  18. Slice the pizza into sections and enjoy your freshly baked pizza dough!
