How Does a Business Devise a Financial Plan?

About the Bikram Yoga Weight Loss Plan

Bikram yoga is an excellent weight loss option for those who have had trouble with previous diets. Bikram yoga is a series of 26 yoga poses done in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat aspect scares some people away, but those who stick with Bikram will notice a difference.

Bikram Studio

The first step to losing weight with Bikram yoga is to find a Bikram studio. Bikram yoga instructors go through an intense nine-week training course to become certified. All Bikram yoga studios have certified instructors leading the class. The instructors help students better their posture and poses by offering helpful tips and guidance. Many Bikram yoga studios offer the first week free, and then students are charged for a monthly membership.

Heat

One of the first thing Bikram students notice is the intense heat. Beginners may find the heat overwhelming, but are encouraged to stay in the room for the full 90 minutes, even if they are only lying on their mat.  The heat coupled with the yoga poses causes profuse sweating, which can lead to weight loss.

Eating Habits

It is recommended that students do not eat two to three hours before yoga practice. The heat and poses may upset the stomach if food is eaten just before class. Students will notice their eating habits changing when they are required to refrain from food. After a Bikram yoga session, students feel like drinking water and eating a small meal. This change of eating habits helps increase weight loss.

Attendance

To see real weight loss results, students must attend Bikram yoga at least three times a week. Some students attempt to practice for 90 consecutive days. The more often a person attends Bikram yoga, the easier the class becomes. Eventually you will notice a difference in weight and the way your body feels inside and out.
