About Lawn Services

If you enjoy a beautiful green lawn, but don’t have the time to care for it, hire a professional. Lawn care can be enjoyable ,but takes time and effort. Not everyone has the time or the desire to work outside on his or her lawn. Be careful when you do hire someone to care for your lawn, as you don’t want a bad experience.

  • Ask friends and relatives who they use to care for their lawn. If you see a business or home with a great lawn, ask them what lawn service they use.

  • Search on the Internet for a company. Many websites who offer lawn care tips also have a list of lawn maintenance companies. MerchantCircle offers listings of local companies. This website will provide you with company information and any coupons that they may have available. Customer reviews are also posted and can be of help as you decide who to use.

  • Call the companies you have found and get some information. Ask them what services they offer. Do they only mow and edge? Do they fertilize and test the pH level of your lawn? Do they care for pests, or is that an extra charge? Do they charge a flat rate or by hour? Find out what is included in the regular service and what costs more.

  • Request a list of references and call them. Make sure the company is insured and registered with the state. These things will not guarantee that the company will work well for you, but it will be more likely.

  • Book an appointment. Most companies will not give you a final price over the phone. They want to see and evaluate your lawn to be able to give you a good quote. Ask any additional questions that you may have at that time. Be sure everything is in writing that is agreed upon before work begins.
