    Tapestries or wall hangings can be woven or printed. Most of the thermal throws you sed in the store are printed, that is why they are so cheap. Woven tapestries make the picture by weaving many different colored threads into the tapestry and the colored threads make the picture. The manufacturers of my tapestries, pillows and afgans use computer controlled looms that produce stunning details and vivid colors on every piece offered. They use skilled master craftsman and featured artists to create their designs and their attention to detail is superb.  A quality woven piece will outlast a printed blanket and be a better quality from the start.
