Ola is a part of the Russellville Metropolitan area, located in the Ouachitas Region. Known for its Hot Springs area of the Ouachita Mountain region and for its five crystal clear lakes known as the "Diamond Lakes." Major attractions include the Hot Springs National Park, Diamond Lakes, rugged mountain trails and campsites, and the "crater" where you can search for real diamonds. Among the biggest companies in Ola are Deltic Timber Corporation and River Valley Livestock Co. The schools here are the Ola Elementary School and the Ola High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Ola is the Hot Springs National Park, where you can hike the nature trails and enjoy the vistas from the mountaintops. Ola's famous persons include Mary McCormick, an early-twentieth-century opera star, Floyd Cramer, a country-music performer and Arthur Hunnicutt, an actor.
