Cliff House Inn Restaurant & Gift Shop

Several years have passed since I made the last post. I wish someone would haver responded. Apologizing for the way a big deal was handled as if it were nothing more than an imposition to doing business. An apology posted here would show good and fair faith. It has been along while. I am ready to forgive. ...read more

Point of View Restaurant

By A Hoffman

This restaurant is located just outside of Jasper, AR. There is no view which one might think with the title. However, it is a clean, cozy type restaurant that offers very good breakfast food. The pancakes were light, the omelettes were excellent. When we were there they had a bigger crowd then expected the day before so they had run out of a lot of there menu. However, the wwaitress was very pleasant and we would go there again. ...read more

but when a local man, Cliff Pinkston, went missing (a year ago to date) they refused to allow the posting of a flyer asking the public for information. Or better yet, they said they would post it, but later when we returned , they said it was inappropriate and had thrown it away. The man's body was found six days after he drove off the road and plummeted to his death. Our family will never be able to see this business without feeling the added sting of his departure. I believe they like to wait on tourists and care nothing for their own community. Or maybe, it was just the hired hands who inflicted this horrible inconsideration. Ozark Cafe

1.0

By J P

We have eaten in all of the restaurants in Jasper and, by far, the Ozark Cafe has the worst service. The last time we went, our waitress did not get us, then made us feel as though she was doing us a favor by waiting onour table, and then was too busy talking on the telephone to refill my coffee. I finally had to carry my cup to the counter and ask her to refill it. This was our fourth visit to the cafe and it will be our last. We suggest going to Sharon K's or Point of View. The service is much better at both places and they act like they appreciate your business. ...read more

Cliff House Inn Restaurant & Gift Shop

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Jasper AR. We had saved up our monyy to spend 5 days in a major motel (1976) but once we found the Cliff House Motel at $7.00 a night, we stretched our honeymoon to 2 weeks. The owners were fabulous and we were left to ourselves unless we needed something. We watched an electrical storm strike the mountains one night and set out on the porch another night talking to a couple who had been married for 50+ years. We hope to return sometime soon and stay a weekend and enjoy the country side once more. Coursey's Smoked ham will be on our agenda for sure along with a restful night at the Cliff House Motel. 5 stars ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
