About Village Music Shoppe
Lessons on all instruments in all styles as well as instrument and accessory sales and repairs.
The Village Music Shoppe has been in business for over 35 Years. We were opened in 1969 by musicians looking to give other musicians the best quality products and services possible. We have continued that mission by selling only products by companies that produce and stand behind a good quality product. To coin a phrase, "If we don't sell it, it's not worth buying". Since 1969 we have taught over 90,000 Lessons to Long Island Musicians, and plan to exceed 100,000 lessons by the end of 2006. Our teachers have many years of experience, some as much as 35 years. Our teachers, past and present, include, Chuck Schultz with over 25 years of teaching expertise. Jimmy Crespo, guitarist from Aerosmith. Everett Collins, drummer from The Isley Brothers. Lou Agasta, drummer from Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge. And the list goes on.
We rent band and orchestra instruments to the local school children at competitive prices so they can "try it before they buy it". We have both new and used instruments in several price ranges to suit many budgets. Our rentals include; violin, viola, cello, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet and trombone.
We are a small organization that prides itself on getting to know our customers and their needs. It is very common for us to stock an item specifically for one customer so that it is available whenever he or she needs it.
We've recently added Kindermusik classes to our curriculum. Kindermusik is a form of early childhood development classes that uses music as a focus for teaching children from newborn to seven years.
