Upton Cohen & Slamowitz

It is advised to use extreme caution when dealing with Cohen & Slamowitz. Their practice is the collection of debts from some of America's most notorious collection agencies, and they user agressive tactics, many of which are illegal (This is not my personal opinion - look at all the lawsuits they lost, having to pay dearly in fines to consumers in the New York City court system alone). Currently there is also an investigation by the NY Attorney General office against their legal servers which would strangely not serve defendants with their lawsuits (more than 93% of 41,000 defendants sued by them had no clue that they are being sued). They do this methodically to obtain default judgments and then freeze bank account or garnish wages - adding thousands of dollars in their own arbitrary fees and interest to debt that is too often not even proven to be valid (debt that cannot be properly validated, out of statue of limitation, collected by someone unlicensed in your state etc.) BEWARE!
