No "Rotten Bergers"--Rather Terrific Cuisine & VIEW!

Appalled to see Review by Anonymous written a year ago! Bergers there are terrific, and the variety of other, more sophisticated Entrees, appetizers, and fine wines is superb. The friendly, knowledgeable staff of local folk are quick to point out places of historical im...portance in this lovely, ancient New England town. This place is on a high hill just above Rapids, literally, so at a table by large plate glass windows you see the water and greenery in Summer, amazing Autumn foliage, water pushing through ice in Winter, and tender light green foliage in Spring. This is in W. Mass NEAR the BERKSHIRES, but NOT as expensive, pretentious or crowded. A REAL GEM!

Wonderful Atmosphere, Food and Servers-a real" Find"

This restaurant overlooks a beautiful bubbling brook, we have had lovely meals there with especially good seafood entrees, and the local New England folk who run and serve at this historic spot in the hills of Western Massachusetts are quite charming and personable.

Rotten Meat in burgers

The restaurant served rotten meat in the burgers.. both the burgers we ordered had bad meat... which the kitchen refused to believe it was.. Wish I had forced it down the throat of the manager. And as if they were doing us a huge favor they reluctantly said they'd t...ake the burgers off the bill !! While they should have given us a free shot of whiskey to wipe out the rotten taste in our mouths.
