I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE BAR!!!! Ohhhhh the chocolate peanutbutter martini is TO DIE FOR!!!!!!! Hey and the food is great too!!! This has become my favorite place to eat and drink! (ok my personal trainer is not so happy with you guys ahhahahahah) I LOVE YOU GUYS! XOXOXO

I recently booked a party at The Chocolate Bar to celebrate a good friend's milestone birthday. The reservations themselves took over a week to make due to the difficulty reaching a manager who could book the event for me. After finally reaching the owner, it was made c...lear to me that he did not want our group simply taking up seats in the restaurant on a Saturday night. He wanted to ensure that he would make money off of us. I assured him that our group is comprised of women who frequent fine dining establishments and we would be purchasing appetizers, main courses, desserts and drinks. \t\n\t\nWhen we arrived at the restaurant that evening, they had crammed our place settings into one booth and one small round table - for 15 people. These would have been appropriate accommodations for 8 to 10 diners, perhaps..but not a group as large as ours. We were then told that the cake we brought in (again, I booked the event well ahead of time and made it clear that it was a birthday party) could not be served in their establishment, since they serve desserts. If we wanted to eat our cake, we would have to pay a $7/person fee - equaling $105!! A small fee would have been acceptable, but this we found ridiculous. Remember, we estimated spending at least $500 that night as it was. The staff made it clear to us that they would rather lose our business entirely than lower the cake cutting fee. So we left that night, taking our cake, and wallets with us. Had a much nicer evening at Darcy McGees as a result. Been going to the Chocolate Bar for 2 years, and finally, they have brought in Food to match the Martini's and Deserts. We had the Crab Cakes and Paella and both were excellent, and saw that they have new specials other then salads and sandwiches in the evening.
