My husband and I have been here for about a year..we are blessed idk exactly what wickedness may be going in..but our hope is in God not the caseworkers..this shelter offers so much..church services, arts & crafts, a library,it's decent and clean..we are decent and clea...n people but maybe some are diff ..it all depends on how some are..if security is sleeping with residents then the residents should have more respect for themselves ..rules are rules for all not just for some...common sense.. They have Security Officers that are flirting and sleeping with the residence. I was informed by my associate who currently reside there. The officers name is Brown. To prevent bad reviews about the shelter he needs to be spoken to in reference to his misconduct.

I work here and the population of our residents is a difficult one. To reference the previous comment from a landlord-these ppl are pre qualified for a city program, but once that stops, the clients are responsible to pay their rent. Basically, a lot of these ppl don't ...know how to manage their money properly and they have a lot of medical issues that may drain their income. Landlords stay away from renting to these residents! The counselors and coordinators lie to you and tell you that their residents are pre-qualilfied for the city programs that pay the rent up front and they are not! Starbright's only concern is getting their residents out of the shelter. They don't care if the landlord gets stuck or not. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
