Sue Ballew is an incredibly good pilot. Precise, conscientious, bent on safety first, and simply fun to fly with. She is creative in her teaching, making it fun to learn and learn from her, no matter how you best absorb information she will find a way for you to grasp it and that has meaning to you.
I flew my first a cross country air race with Sue a few years back and we spent a few months in advance preparing. Sue finessed me through the planning of descents from 10,000 feet for full-speed, low fly-bys at check points. Quite a thrill once mastered, but you MUST be well trained to make this a safe and effective practice, with the skill set to also enjoy the ride. Sue taught and honed skills that have made me a much better pilot.
Sue keeps very current with all that may be new in aviation and makes sure her flying community is educated. She recently added a Seaplane rating to her long list of achievements. When looking for a flight instructor you can do no better!
