Shrewsbury Family Practice

It's funny that people only seem to come on these sites to complain. I have been seeing Dr.Chalker, and now Dr.Miller, since I was a child. They are both very knowledgeable and kind. I left for a few years and came back, knowing I would be in good hands. People need to stop looking for reasons to complain.

Besides the normal waiting an hour before the doctor seeing you, they are completely unorganized! I was told to come back at 8 in the morning to get my tb test checked out for my teaching clearance. I get there on time, no doctors or nurses! The nurse won't be in until ...10 and the doctor until 1! And they told me to call back at 10 to make sure the nurse was actually there! TThis place is horrific... It seems everyone is so unorganized. papers were scattered everywhere. The phone line hardly ever works. They mixed up our files and won't release my sons shot records for school. This is Insane!! and I don't trust the Military Doctor who didn...'t do squat for a tooth ache. Dr.Chalker is most likely the worst doctor i have ever had. i got a small bump on my leg it kept growing and growin so i called their office and set up an appointment, didnt end up getting that appointment until a week later, got there early & didnt get seen until an ho...ur later when people that just came in sat for five minutes & walked back. At this point i couldnt walk on my leg and it was completely swollen, when i finally got back there he didnt even look at the bump on my leg just handed me a prescrption and walked out.. went to the hospital and ended up being a staff infection that if it had gone untreated any longer could have went to my blood!! i changed doctors the next day Read More

I have to say I been seeing Doctor Chalker for about 5 years now and him and all the other office staff treat me and my family with friendly and respectful. And when i need a sameday appointment I usually always get it... So I have to say I do recommend this office to other people...

My wife set us up with Shrewsbury Family Practice, I tried to get into their office today and they refuse to see me unless I provide a social security number. This is 2010, with identity theft rampant and past issues, I refuse to give out my SS# to anyone except govern...ment. They were not willing to take anohter number and the reason for needing the number changed from being a unique identifier to being needed for the billing department, which lets me know that the office staff don't communicate their policies very well.
