About Shandell's
Shandell's is the creative home of me, Susan Schneider, a longtime collector of things vintage with a passion for recycling them into things that make you smile. Shandell's, a working lampshade and vintage lighting studio, is located at the corner of Route 22 and Route 44, at 5916 North Elm Avenue, Millerton, New York, 12546, housed in a newly renovated century-old building. I draw on a collection of thousands of unique handmade papers, antique wallpapers and other very special materials in my work.

Things that make you Smile!!!!
That is Susan's slogan for her creations. There is enough whimsey in Shandells to keep you smiling for a long time; but Susan is also a serious creator of gorgeous lanps that would light the darkest corners of anyone's life. Her creations are truly one of a kind and she will also change your valued keepsake into a lamp for you with the greatest respect for its integrity. If you have a base her talents will give you just the right hand made shade. If you have a shade that you just love, she will find the base to enhance its antique or unique qualities. In short, Shandells is the most unique show to arrive in Millerton in a long time and Susan and her Shop are assets to our community. Marti Steed
