Dr. Lee saved my eyesight. I was

Dr. Lee saved my eyesight. I was diagnosed with a rare condition for someone my age (idiopathic SRN) and I had been to Casey (and had surgery) twice, but the problem was not resolved. I transferred to Dr. Lee, and not only did he save my eyesight, he was very professional and compassionate in his care. He always took his time in explaining what was wrong and what needed to be done, and why. Yes, you may have to wait a long time, but that is SOP at Retina Specialist offices. He will take you if you are having a crisis, and IMO, that is more important than anything. I loved Dr. Lee and the staff at Retina NW!

Waiting room - not so great, Dr Lee and staff - Fantastic!

I also have to counter the bad review below. I had an eye emergency and Dr Lee saw me the next morning. My appointment was 9:30am and I was walking out of the office by 12:30 with a repaired retina (laser). Dr. Lee is great and his staff is great - extremely efficient. This office is a well oiled machine - they move a lot of people through. The waiting room is not fancy and quite crowded because most patients, like me, need someone with them to drive. You have the option of waiting outside the office in the hallway - there are several comfortable benches and chairs. Just let the staff know you will be outside and they put a huge note on your chart to look for you there. Easy! You should expect to be moved in and out of exam rooms several times during your visit. I had my eyes tested and then got dilation drops and back out to the waiting area. Then I was back in for Dr Lee's exam which confirmed my need for laser. I had the option of waiting for an hour or scheduling late in the day. We choose to wait and went down stairs to the deli - great coffee! Then back to the office for more drops and about 15 minutes later I was in the laser room. That procedure lasted only about 5 minutes and then I was good to go. This is THE place to have your eyes taken care of.

Bad Waiting Room, but Dr. Michael Lee and staff are Great

I have to write a counter review to balance out the one entitled Third World Experience. I couldn't agree more with the comments on the waiting room. The problem with the review is it doesn't tell you that if you have an emergency situation they will fit you in that same day. I was in a terrifying situation where I was seeing flashing lights and big black floaters in my eye. My optometrist gives Michael Lee the very highest recommendation. He referred me to Dr. Lee, who got me in the same day. Yes, it sucked waiting forever it that truly horrible waiting room. It's true, there weren't enough chairs at all times for all the people who needed to get in. But Dr. Lee did the best job he could for me. Luckily, my prognosis was much better than the guy who had the Third World Experience. He was probably blaming Dr. Lee for his own upset over having a bad prognosis. That is understandable, but truly unfair to trash a good doctor in such a public forum as the Internet. I disagree that Dr. Lee is just in it for the money. I felt he was serving me, and I want to thank him and his excellent staff for taking me in and helping me in my hour of desperation.
