California Senator, Raymond Haynes (Bio linked), Former Chairman of ALEC, Former Legislator of the year (2000) is now actualizing his goal of several years, to clean up the environment utilizing cost effective methods, (such as D-1280x), and without destroying industry, as he joined forces with Colonel Howard Sargent, executive vice president and chief engineer of D-1280x Inc., and D-1280x Inc. President, Richard Skaggs, which received ALEC's private sector member of the year award for his work on the environment, and his work on developing SAE 1667, in 1999.

Senator Haynes, recently appointed as the President of Omstar Costa Rica International, says that … “we must find the balance in between our environment and industry. We cannot take our food chain and put it towards fuel, since it will deplete our food supply, and we need to find better ways, such as D-1280x, to clean up our planet...”

Where Did D-1280x Come From?

During World War 2, a young petrochemical engineer left his job with Standard Oil to serve his country, running a U.S Army fuels laboratory in Europe. In the scramble of wartime, diesel trucks were running on fuel of inconsistent and unpredictable quality. Engines were gumming up and often refused to start. Trucks required frequent servicing that wasted valuable time and kept trucks out of needed service in the war effort. Dr. Morton A. Fainman- Major Fainman at the time- theorized that if a lubricant could be added directly to diesel fuel, old deposits might be dislodged and new buildups could be prevented. The truck fleet would be more reliable and the fuel efficiency might be improved as well.

Dr. Fainman steered away from oil or other conventional additives that would not burn off efficiently, and turned his attention to synthetic esters. The trick was to find an ester blend that burned fuel more effectively. That way the engines would burn cleaner and better with lower exhaust emissions. His efforts led to the development of a miracle combination of esters that came to be known as D-1280x.

Dr. Fainman was encouraged by his wartime experiments, and hoped to continue when he returned to his job at Standard Oil, after the war. But gas was cheap and plentiful in those days, and oil companies had no interest in a product that reduces gas consumption. No one thought about the environmental threat that was looming in the very near future. The U.S. Economy grew, life was good, and each year more and more cars traveled the America's highways. But with each passing year, our air grew dirtier and dirtier.

While Dr. Fainman's formula waited on the shelf, the world gradually came to understand the danger of the contaminants produced by the internal combustion engine. We now realize that such pollutants are a serious risk to human health as a threat to the beauty and health of the entire planet. But despite aggressive regulation by the government, and years and years of research into alternative fuels, we have yet to find a way to live without the internal combustion engines, and the pollutants they produce.

Research will continue to search for permanent replacements for fossil fuels and the traditional engines, but in the meantime, tests certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), prove that we can substantially improve both the environment and fuel efficiency, at zero net cost, with the use of D-1280x. And we can do that right now!
