picco .28 engine woes
I bought a picco .28 engine from this company. I have not yet run it so i wil change my rating up a star or two pending if it runs. However, i received this engine defective with a pinhole in the casing. They told me I had to return then engine to have it looked at in o...rder for it to be replaced. I had to pay shipping for this there as well. They received it and took about 1 day to look it over and and replace the casing. They sent it back to me via ground 6-7 days. I just opened the box and the first thing i noticed was the sealed bagwith the carb in it was missing the carb retaining screw. Now this seems petty, but as a company who deals with customers, perfection should be of the importance. I called them and they said they will send me another screw. Now i have to wait another 6-7 days to get the scew. The guy said he never touched my bag with the carb in it. However, when i sent it to them it was opened due to me installing it prior to seeing the pin hole. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager told me that they reseal all bags before sending them back. SO now i have realized they both lied to me because the guy who never touched it had to touch it to reseal it and the bag that contained the engine wasn't resealed. The manager did tell me i could go to the hobby store and pick up a generic dubro screw to fit there. That would be fine but now i have to drive 35 minutes and waste gas due to their error and pay for a screw that shoud have been there. Hell i would have sill had it if the engine they sent me was up to standard and in perfect new condition as stated when i bought the 200$ engine. I will not buy another engine from this company due to the service I have received. IF you choose to the good luck with your gamble. No one can be perfect and I don't expect that, however i expect a company to pay for overnight shipping there and back in order to fix a defective engine on their part and also to put all the parts back in the box. I also expect a company to side with the customer and admit fault instead of making excuses and saying "it was there" or " i never touched it." These engines are way to expensive and important to make someone wait 3 weeks before they can even try to run it.
