Updates & tips from Mt Madison Motel
Another winter season is upon us.
As much as we hate to do this, it's time to close the Mt. Madison for the winter.
We wish to thank all of our faithful customers for a fantastic 2009 season and hope to see you all back again next year. We will reopen on April 14, 2010 with a focus on an exceptional customer experience at the Mt. Madison.
We would also like to wish you all the best of the holiday seasons and a very happy new year.
We have repainted and updated the exterior of our motel and will renovate and re-decorate some of our rooms for the 2010 season. Other improvements will include flower gardens and landscaping around our entire facility.
Also improved for 2010 will be our ATV guide service. We will offer packages for hardcore ATV'rs, Families, Nature Lovers, and Sight Seers. Choose from 4 locations, (see web site for more details), 1/2 day basic guide, full day basic guide, or our premium all day guided tour with trailside BBQ. All tours are hosted by experienced ATV riders familiar with the north country trails.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Mt Madison, we are located in the heart of the White Mountains&Great; North Woods of New Hampshire. Easy to get to, we are at the junction of Routes 2 and 16 in the quiet town of Gorham, making us centraly located to many of northern New Hampshires main attractions. Contact us for special pricing and package deals combining lodging and local attraction tickets.
See you all in 2010

A welcome change
I needed a place to stay in the Berlin, NH area. I was there as a consultant for a construction project. I found the rooms at the Mt. Madison quite suitable for my needs. There was wifi for internet access and a small table for a work area. The price here was reasonabl...e and the staff was very accomodating. This is a good place to stay if you are in the Berlin/Gorham, NH area.
Great experience
Wife & I stayed here for a weekend in October. We were combining a leaf peeping weekend with an ATV trip. Room was clean, staff was great, and the scenery around here is amazing. We booked a guided 4-wheeler trip through the motel staff. Turns out our guide was the mot...el owner, Ron, and one of his friends. What a blast!!! The trails were loads of fun, the scenery was incredible, and the food was fantastic. (our guded trip included a trailside meal cooked on a grill carried by one of the guides). These guys use a side-by-side to carry coolers, a grill, and other equipment. They knew the trails well, and took us to several high overlooks for spectacular views of the mountains & ponds. You really need to see these in October when the foliage is full! All I can say is WOW! You have to try this. We'll go back again next year!
Enjoyed my weeks stay here
I spent a week here while my home was having some renovations. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, and they let me keep my dog here for the week. I also liked having the pool right across from my room. It was great for morning swims. I don't un...derstand the bad reviews, I found the place to be just right. It was easy for me to walk to several small restaurants, a convienience store, and a couple of pubs. I live about 20 miles away and will probably never have a need to stay here again. But, when I travel, I hope to find another place like the Mt Madison. I would recommend this place to anyone, family, business, or otherwise!
