I have been a gas, oil change, repair and inspection customer for over 4 years and today George just lost my business. I brought my car in for an estimate for a tune-up and wheel bearing repair. The tune-up estimate was over $150 higher than midas and pep boys quoted me. I asked if they could bring down the price, because I feel strongly about supporting local businesses and have been loyal to this center for so long. They were able to bring the estimate down, but it was still $70 higher than that of their competitors. George urged me to do both the tune-up and wheel bearing repair together and I said I had to think about it because the price was still higher than his competitors. I called back 2 days later to ask if he could do both jobs for a discount. He started screaming at me and said he was not negotiating anymore, and quoted me a price that was $20 higher for both jobs. I tried to point this out and was met with more aggression and yelling. I really wanted to get my car worked on there, as Joel the mechanic knows VWs really well. Ultimately George hung up on me in the middle of me trying to work it out. I would have gotten both jobs done tomorrow if he even offered just $10 off which would have put me in a place to pay $60 more than his competitors. Based on this poor and unprofessional customer service I won't be back to this center for any future business, not even gas. While I do believe in supporting local businesses, their prices are higher than larger competitors who guarantee their work, and I would caution anyone to encounter George's temper. Very unfortunate.

The Grubers are the most reliable, honest, decent, skilled car experts I have ever dealt with. Both of the brothers are smart, no nonsense and will do what you need when you need it done. They don't try to tell you something's wrong with the car just so they can get cash out of you. My car is 12 years old. No one has ever touched it but the Grubers. It drives, thank God, like a charm. And when you're in trouble, when you need that new windshield, that new tire, that mangled muffler unmangled, and you need it done well and fast and at a good price, the guys are there. Evidence of their skill and decency is their growing business. But it seems that no matter how many high end clients they have, how many fancy cars they work on, there's always personal and great service for me and my old Toyota. I've recommended them to all my friends, who now also sing their praises. Give them a try.
