I wanted to teach my children that if they help others they will feel good about themselves.  As a new business owner I thought the best way for my kids to learn this was by participating in local charity events. 

The first charity is Singleton Moms.  This organziation was created to honor the memory of Michelle Singleton who lost her life to cancer and left behind 4 young children.  Singleton Moms is just a group of friends and family who want to make a difference in allowing single mothers the time to focus more on their family and recovery rather than their normal daily responsibilities.  In an effort to help raise funds, Kreative Kids Fun Mail will be at the Kids Faire on September 20-21 at the Phoenix Stadium collecting donations.  A portion of the weekend's sales will also be donated to Singleton Moms.  For more information please check out www.SingletonMoms.org. 

The next event that my whole family will be participating in is the Walk Now for Autism on November 2, 2008 at the Tempe Beach Park.  My son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when he was almost 9.  For years we had no idea that his strange behaviors were actually on the autism spectrum.  My husband and I along with our children are walking to help raise funds so other parents can find the resources necessary to raise their autistic child without struggling.  If anyone would like to join our team, donate or create your own team, please check out our page at www.walknowforautism.org/arizona/personal/barbie

Last but certainly not least, I'm proud to announce that Kreative Kids Fun Mail is co-producing the 2nd Annual Winter Holiday Marketplace.  We have two main goals with this event.  The first is to help promote other self-employed parents and small businesses.  The second is to benefit Sunshine Acres Children's Home.  We will have 80 + different unique and friendly companies to shop with as well as gift wrapping, personalized ornaments, Cinderella, pictures with Santa, live music and hundrend's of raffle items!  The first 500 guests will receive goody bags filled with fun and surprises!  At this time we still have vendor spots, sponsorship and magazine advertisement available.  Please contact us through the website www.TheWinterHolidayMarketplace.com for further information.
