About Greater Light Community Church
Greater Light Community Church began as a Children’s Bible Study in the home of Pastor Benjamin and Margaret Briggs. Children throughout the neighborhood attended weekly night studies and began to share the excitement of the word with their parents. Out of this Children’s Bible Study, Greater Light Community Church was birthed.
Greater Light held its first service at Palms Elementary School in Perris, Ca., in January of 1995. Reverend Benjamin F. Briggs II is the Pastor and founder. Several family members and friends gathered on this Super Bowl Sunday to share in this celebration of worship and fellowship. The church remained at Palms Elementary School for four years and due to the need to expand ministry relocated in the city of Perris, sharing the worship facility with the Hacienda Christian Men’s Campus. It was here that ministry continued to go forward and many lives were touched by the Spirit of God.
