I have lived in this park for only a

I have lived in this park for only a few short 6 months & nothing but problems from day 1 the last person who posted who lived here for 10 years is 100% right 1st my husband had a 1996 Toyota Celica GT Convertible parked in his driveway which got towed the park & the tow Company Jim's 24 hour towing lied & said the car was in the road it was not. They are still harassing us trying to tow our new car. They drive down the street stealing cars unfortunately, the city council will not regulate them I talked to our alderman he could not do anything. All I know is there should be laws against this I am outraged & furious over this w/ Grand Valley. They knew & lied & said they didn't. They have holes in the yard my husband is visually impaired he was taking his dog out to use the restroom & fell in this hole he is now suing the park. The holes should be covered up. Potholes in the roads all throughout. I am trying to find an attorney who will take the case to sue Jim's towing for illegally stealing our car. The trailer we live at is owned by Dustin Michaels. He knew about Micheal falling & didn't care. But yet when Bob & Gary told him to give us a 5 day because we didn't do the application which right after we did & it got approved anyway Dustin did it. The trailers along our area off shenandoah are terrible. Wiring problems, all the trailers have leaks in the sinks, no tub in one of Dustin's trailers. Dogs & cats running loose in the trailer park there is supposed to be a leash law according to Sangamon county Animal Control director Jim Stone yet dogs are running loose every night. Police @ the trailer park constantly. people having parties and stealing. Child Molesters in the park & tons of kids that could be taken. Complain & pretty much it goes nowhere. I give this a 1. My car was stolen in my driveway.

thanks for Jeff

I have worked with Jeff at Grand Valley Village for the past two years, keeping his rental properties clean. I know he has the interest of tenants in mind and intends to maintain his rentals in proper order. KUDOs

Put your home on your own lot

As a resident of Grand Valley Village for 10 years, I can unequivically tell you the park is not up to the previous standards. Because it is privately owned, basically, any complaint will have to be given to the park manager. Word of caution - please do not expect results within the first year of 20 requests. That is your one and only recourse. Case in point, faulty street lights that have not worked for months, others that do not work during a rain and for days after. I am assuming they must dry out. With the high gas prices, people have chosen to purchase yard games, stay at home, cook out, etc . . . Even though ample yard space is available behind the trailors for yard games, this area is not safe to use because of partially hidden old metal cable. These cable have and are capable of causing injury resulting in a tetanus shot, stitches, etc . . . Not to mention the deteriorating wooden posts scattered thru ought the park supporting rusted, exposed metal boxes that house decades old wiring. Branches are not picked up regularly, potholes large enough to flatten a tire. Why did I give it a 2 star rating and not a one - after 2 days of treacherous winter driving conditions, the streets were plowed allowing cars to back out of their driveway.
