I am currently in the last phase of membership at DYC, about to be 3 years clean on March 6th. Some of the staff is in recovery as well, this is one of the things that really helped me listen when I first came into DYC, I was against listening to anyone that didn't unde...rstand what I was going through when I first entered the program. The staff treats us with care and compassion..with some tough love as well. They do not make anyone scrub the floor with toothbrushes or anything that was said in another post, but will make you work harder than others when you have broken a rule or have a poor attitude, I had to scrub dishes... OH NO! lol. Addicts must have consequences for poor behavior and poor decision making, it is how we learn! This program saved my life and saved my friends' lives, and although I didn't like getting in trouble or getting my flaws pointed out to me.. it is what saved me. I have been to other programs where they call you a "patient" and just want to give you medication that you will stay on for a lifetime, I now am on NO MEDICATION and I am a proud member, almost completion, of DYC. I have gained respect for myself, respect for others, independence, courage, happiness, a full time job, an apartment, I now attend school, sobriety, and countless other things. No one would believe 3 years ago I was in jail for shooting heroin and selling drugs. It is a voluntary program, and when you finally buy in to it (which takes a while for some), it works! I am not scared of staff, which someone also said, I am writing this review out of my love and appreciation for this program that saves lives everyday, and fights for good treatment to legislatures and does outreach to communities! I went to dyc straight from jail it was kind of hard to get in you had to start in service crew. I have to admit I didn't like it at first. I never new that this time in my life would change me for ever. I had the best experience ever it was something that was pl...anted in my soul that grew in me even though I did not finished the second part of the program. I still took that time in my life as a learning experience. And passing the concepts and morals and gidelines to my kids. What a wonderful program.. not the run of the mill rehab but an extremely special program with 40 plus experience implementing best practices to help young people get back on track. Dynamite saves young people!! God bless them all they saved my son's life!!

Dynamite is what my life happier since my 22 years old son went there, I've seen a lot of change in him and better things to come my son is still there by choice. he went back to school and now I can have a normal conversation with my son. dynamite I owe you my life.

Since being enrolled the last five months, I have seen a complete transformation in my son. He continues to grow as a person and face his demons. Academically he has jumped so high in reading and math. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT IN THIS PLACE>>>>>>>>>>>> GOD BLESS EVERYONE IN DYNAMITE
