One coat or two?

Yes, indeed one coat may look fine and work fine in a few instances, but definitely not all! I worked at a S/W paint store for 15 plus years so I'm well trained and have vast experience with a wide array of paint and associated products.  In addition, paint in general is typically porous and there are microscopic pinholes in the dried film, so when the second coat is applied it will then fill in those pinholes of the first coat, therefore filling in the film making a more sound finish th...
