Best for years
I remember going to this yard with my dad at the age of 5. He was a car dealer in town and swore by them. It is the same now as it was then. They are always courteous and helpful. Keep up the great work and THANKS.
IN RESPONSE TO "FAIRDEAL"
Beacon Metal encourages customers to weigh their material, we pride ourselves on "HONEST WEIGHTS & DEPENDABLE SERVICE". We regret that "FAIRDEAL" feels he was "gypped " on our scale. This incident was never brought to our attention, we would not want a customer to leav...e our facility dissatisfied. We have been in operation at this location for 40 years, we would not jeopardize our good reputation over a $20. discrepancy. If this incident did occur, I would like to personally apologize to "FAIRDEAL" for the misunderstanding, as this is not the way a dissatisfied customer should be treated. The material should have been reloaded by one of our staff and reweighed on one of our floor scales to satisfy the customer. Please know that you will get a fair deal at Beacon Metal. Our scales are "certified digital scales" and checked by the State of New Jersey Weights & Measures on a regular basis. We hope that this negative review will not discourage others from doing business with us. thank you -William Smith President - Beacon Metal

I drove in with 244 LB of Alumimun siding measured on my bathroom scale, BTW a good quality scale with a large read out. I packed up the siding in 20 to 30 pound bundlesand when I weighed it, with myself and I deducted my weight, I deducted the fraction of weight. For e...xample: If it weighed 22.5 lb, I wrote down 22 lb. So I drove in with this bundle which weighed at least 244lb. They pulled it from my truck and dumped all over the other Alumimun that was there. When I left and got reweighed the weight man and also cashier yelled out that I had dropped off 200 lb of Alumimun. When I went inside to argue with him, he told me that if I did not like it, I could go and reload my stuff and go. obviously that was not possibly. So they had me. I would not go here again.
