Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich is a Russian born concert pianist, distinguished piano teacher, and educator. She is teaching at her Piano Studio 710 “The Art Of Piano Playing” at the Fine Arts Building downtown Chicago on 410 S. Michigan Ave. My goal as a teacher is to introduce children and adults to a beautiful world of music, wide range of repertoire, and make piano playing fun and enjoinment in their everyday life. To help them to bring out and develop their creative abilities, understanding structure and a content of the pieces they are playing or listening, develop performance skills, mastering the pieces they are playing, make a learning process challenging and adventurous, to help them to learn how to play piano on a best possible level they can, and have fun.
Dr. Lipmanovich has a great teaching experience working with children and adults. She has numerous students who became outstanding performers and teachers. She prepared several students who were accepted to the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Juilliard School of Music, Paris Conservatory of Music, Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel, etc., who became winners of numerous competitions.
Ms. Lipmanovich was on a Piano Faculty at Boston Conservatory, Boston College, Northeastern University. She taught piano at the Rubin Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem. She was a Professor of Music at Daley College and now is dedicating herself in teaching at her studio and performing.


Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich immigrated to Israel from Russia with her family. She begin her early music education while she was in Russia, were she studied with Prof. Tatiana Nickolayeva at the Tchaikovsky Pre-Conservatory in Moscow. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Juilliard School of Music in New York, where she studied with Madame Rosina Lhevinne on a full scholarship. She received a Masters Degree from the Rubin Academy of Music of the Tel Aviv University, where she studied on a full scholarship awarded by the University. Dr. Lipmanovich studied with Ian Hobson on a full scholarship at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and was awarded her Doctorate in Piano Performance in 1998. Among her teachers were her mother who was outstanding pianist and a teacher, Anthony di Bonaventura and Rudolfo Caporally. She has won several International Competitions including among them the Piano Competition of the Soviet Composers held in Moscow, and the Tenth Annual Young Artists International Competition in New York. She was recognized as an outstanding young performer and named in the National Collegiate Academy Honorary Book as “Collegiate All-American Scholar”. She gave numerous performances in Israel as a soloist, with chamber music groups, and with orchestras. She was a member of the “Trio Bor”, where the violinist and cellist were members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed as a soloist on some outstanding events in Israel, among them solo recital and with a Trio performance where 30 Foreign Ambassadors were present. Ms. Lipmanovich has appeared in major concert halls, as a soloist, as well as with orchestras, and chamber groups in Russia, Israel, Europe, and the United States including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall , and other prestigious venues in New York.
In Chicago she has remained active as a performer and a teacher. She has performed on Radio and Television. Solo program at the Nineteenth Annual Gala event held in Chicago at the Fields Museum organized by Diffa, solo recitals at the Harold Washington Library, National Louis University, Northeastern University, Sherwood Conservatory, all Chopin program at McCormick Place, etc, and appeared as a soloist with different orchestras performing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major, Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1, Grieg Piano Concerto. At the Harold Washington Library she gave a concert of all Russian Program. Ms. Lipmanovich has performed on Schubertiade at the Fazioli Solon at the Fine Arts Building and at the Fazioli concert-series in Chicago which was a live Broadcasted on WFMT Radio Station hosted by Thomas Scott were she performed compositions of Chopin and R. Schumann Carnaval .In January 2010 Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich gave a solo recital at the Fourth Presbyterian Church on Michigan/Chestnut downtown Chicago and in a program were works of Chopin and Liszt B minor Sonata.
