Zono Sushi Japanese Restaurant

My family loved the restaurant because of the great service, great food, and great value. My husband loved the sashimi combo because of the freshness, the varity, and the good portion. I like the steam clam soup and hamachi Kama, broiled fish chin. It tastes greater than it sounds. I also like Shishito that is a spicy appitizer with beer. I recommend this restaurant to my friends.

I found it kind of funny how many 1 star 1 review accounts have been made to trash this place (although i'm not really one to talk since i made this account just to point this out) and how many of them were simply copy and paste reviews over a bunch of sites. C'mon guys, if your going to put a place down, at least put in the effort and decency to be somewhat realistic about it. Anyways, I've been going to Zono since it first opened, and I've stuck with it through thick and thin. They had a bit of a quality control problem a few years back, (the food and service might be awesome one day and then fall apart the next) but it seems they've finally got that under control (thank god). I'd suggest the Teppan plates and Sukiyaki, since those are always sizzling hot and warm you up thoroughly. They have a list of speciall appetizers that i love, especially the Firecracker. Its basically spicy tuna on top of crispy fried sushi rice with this tangy sauce. For those days where i really need to be stingy, the lunch combination is at $6.95 now. If you want sushi/sashimi, i don't suggest sitting at the tables. Go for the sushi bar and Ota-san will give you the best service you'll ever see. They have alot of pretty fun rolls, and my personal favorite to date is still the Rainbow Roll. It's like 5 different types of fish on top of a cut roll. They've got a promotion going on at the moment, not too sure what it is. Either buy 2 entrees get 1 free or buy 1 get one half off or something along those lines. Not sure, check their website.

I am definitely a big restaurant consumer and I had the worst restaurant service ever in ZONO SUSHI PASADENA . Our food was seriously over cooked even though we ask for our meat to be medium rare. When we ask the girl for the meat to be changed she had the worst attitude I've ever seen and basically say that's the way we make it if u don't like it live. We go to zono sushi in Burbank all the time and food is delicious and service is excellent, that's why we stop here but obviously is not the same management. AVOID A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT EAT HERE !!!!
