Does color matter when it comes to choosing a stain?

The answer is a resounding YES! Sealers/Stains that are clear are only partially  protecting your deck.   Clear sealers (or stains) will NOT protect your deck from the damaging UV rays.  The lack of color is on of the causes of graying   the wood and premature failure of your protectant. WHAT ONE THING CAN YOU DO TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR DECK?

Sweeping or blowing debris - leaves, etc. from your deck!  The deck is no different than any other item you own.  It still requires some care.  10 minutes with a broom or leaf blower once or twice a week will extend the finish on your deck by months if not an additional year.
