Windermere Hood Canal

Booked a hood canal vacation rental for a family celebration of my parents
50th wedding anniversary, 45 days before the event. Because it was such a short time frame, I had to pay in full and the deposit portion had to be paid w/ a cashier's check. I was emailed a receipt and told a week before the event I would be emailed address, directions & key info to enter the home. Six days before the event, I still had heard nothing. I called & emailed and left serveral messages for someone to contact me. I'll I could reach was a voice mail saying that they were closed for the holidays (It was Christmas time) and someone would return my call when the office opened on the following Saturday. Our reservation was for that Friday and Saturday. When I finally got a call it was to late. While the agency returned my deposit, they refused to refund the almost $700 I paid in rental fees stating their cancellation policy. I had to file a dispute w/ our credit card company to get my money back.
