Reviews about Whitt's Barbecue
I understand. . .
I understand all the reviews where people give Whitt's a bad wrap. This is not the same ole same ole BBQ. Now I haven't been to Texas or Memphis to have the best of the best. I'm not a smoker nor do I know how to make BBQ, I'm just a plain ole Nashvegas Resident who loves Whitts. \t\n\t\nFor me their Turkey sandwich, hold the mayo but keep the slaw, is the best. There is no need for sauce. So skip it. This tender and tasty sandwich is my favorite after a long run. I'm also a big fan of their corn bread (the new kind and old kind). \t\n\t\nMy only compliant is that when Iorder something specific (like a turkey sandwich hold the mayo keep the slaw) I have to tell them twice and double check it. On average 7 out of 10 times the sandwich makers give me lettuce on the turkey since I ordered it with no mayo.\t\n\t\nMy HUGE compliment to Whitts goes out to their healthy standards. I love that they put the nutrition their website including Weight Watcher points. This way since I need to track what I eat, this makes my life easier and I'm glad they support that.
By drago6387 at Citysearch September 11, 2008 at 02:57 AMGreat Q, but fire the mean lady up front
I have tried this particular location several times, and I must say, the Q is pretty dang good. However, the people working there are some of the rudest people I have ever met. In particular, there is one female who acts like she is watching the door at an exclusive nightclub in LA, and i'm not on the guest list. Come on folks, it's BBQ!\t\n\t\nAnyway, her poor attitude is constant and is definitely a detterent when I drive past that place hungry for some Q.\t\n\t\nI hate to be picky, but these people need to learn that the experience counts as much as the food.\t\n\t\nRun her out and i'll be back.

I have visited the big smoke pits of Texas, I have been to the BBQ shacks out in the backroads around Memphis. I have had BBQ in all of the corners of Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.\t\n\t\nThis some of the most disappointing BBQ I have ever had. The worst I have had is at this shanty in Chattanooga, TN called Choo Choo BBQ don't go there) Whitt's is next to the worst.
