Moved across the street! New Owners New attitude!

I remember the guys from across the street. They definitely had their moments, but Video One has been transformed by the new owners. I can't believe this review thing still has stuff posted from two years ago. None of those people work there anymore.\t\n\t\nI have been at video one for about 4 years, since I started college, and boy am I glad to find a place that has all the weird movies my teachers want me to see.\t\n\t\nWhen the new owners bought it they really cleaned house, they reorganized the whole store into genres instead of the crazy system they used to have with these terrible books, and numbers and it was a nightmare. But I love how the place has turned out, and the people who own it are so sweet. They are the only ones who work there these days, real mom and pop. \t\n\t\nHonestly, I am an incredibly happy with Video One. I would recommend them to anyone. Hang in there Jeff! Capitol Hill needs you!

neighborhood service and relationship

i've rented from these from over a decade. i love'em. saves me from patronizing the big box rental chain. these guys offer great service. they care that you come there. they can offer insights into movies and they carry selections of offbeat movies. super selection of international movies. small selection of kids movies.

Best DVD rentals in Denver!

They're always friendly when we're there. We don't rent movies often, maybe once every 6-8 weeks, but when we do; we're always impressed with how nice they are.

The Blockbuster board at the front of the store is hilarious. My husband had a bad experience at Blockbuster, his card would be on the board if he hadn't told the Blockbuster cashier she could keep it... it's just a big business looking to make big money. Video One isn't like that. We can ask the staff their opinion of a movie and they give us their honest opinion. We give recommendations back and forth.

The DVDs are in really good shape, no scratches. That's impressive considering some of the cases are in really bad shape. And they check the DVD before you leave the store to make sure it's acceptable.
