The Resort Skamania Cove LLC

Family friends own this getaway and I can say that the work, diligence, thoughtfulness and up grades that have gone into this multi-use RV and Camp ground have greatly enhanced the area. What used to be a dive and place for vagrants is now an oasis for peace and relaxation and bonding experience with nature. The manager of the property is very friendly and willing to assist those who would like to stay at the property. If you are looking for a low key getaway that is close to all that Hood River and even Portland have to offer and would like to be able to enjoy the outdoors at your leisure, this is the place to stay. Who wouldn't want a secure facility to stay at that is monitored and controlled so that people have the peace of mind while they enjoy the peace of the property. I love it and that is why I am renting it for my honeymoon so that I can enjoy family and friends and share the experience of the Pacific Northwest on the historic Columbia River with all who choose to stay.

The coves is a magical place where i used to go on day trips from vancouver. Now it is not accessible (lawfully) to anyone who doesn't own an rv. Is it any wonder they have 10 rv spaces available, w/no other income brought in by people who may only spend a couple of hours sunbathing and swimming. Most rv types are of the 55 plus variety and won't get into swim attire let alone enjoy the water. This was the best place in the gorge....Now it is polluted by the gorge permit sysetm or something. I mean just don't allow fires, if that is the real trouble. Does anyone sneak down there from the hwy? I have thought of it before, but haven't done it yet. Thanks gorge land use police for another beautiful place that everyone can't enjoy.
