Charles Shannon, of Meade, Kansas, several weeks ago, was a victim of a severe beating, and to our knowledge there has been no visible action taken to investigate the circumstances of the violence, and or the people involved in this terrible incident. Mr. Shannon is totally disabled as a result of this severe beating. He has undergone numerous surgeries, and incurred an estimated medical expense exceeding one quarter of a million dollars. We recognize that Mr. Shannon is not considered a model citizen in the town of Meade, does that than give those who perpetrated this horrible act of violence the right to beat another human nearly to death?? I think not. There are many unanswered questions, such as, if these model citizens were so feared of Mr. Shannon, why did they allow him to come on to their property ?, why didn't they call the police?, and when Mr. Shannon arrived, again why didn't they call 911? instead they allowed him to enter their home? Was this a planned set up ?
