Robaire Bakery & Doughnut Shop

Upon moving to Mt.Pleasant, I had heard all the "hype" about this bakery. So one Friday early afternoon, I decided to go there and was hoping to find some special "pastries" to purchase for "out of town company arriving the next" Our family is used to delicious sweets(not just donuts or whole cakes) we are "european" ancesters, so we all know how to make wonderful desserts. We also are from the Detriot suburbs, where there are numerous pastry shops. I guess I was just so disappointed, that their bakery showcase, "had nothing" really spectacular...I was hoping to come home with a box of delights... I ended up having to go to "Meijers and buy a "Tiramusu cake" from their bakery. Bummer! Though it was vey good(shipped in frozen from their main bakery factory, it was still "fancier" than Robaires selection at 1 in the afternoon. Yes, donuts are "nice", but homemade creme pastries, etc. would have "been better". They had small 9 inch "cakes", but I wanted fancy, something to impress...

Robaire's makes the most delicious filled cakes around! We went to 10 bakeries to find a wedding cake. We started with Robaire's and every bakery paled in flavor. We kept coming back. On top of that , the bride wanted a realistic birch bark cake design. Only Robaire's and Candy's Cakes even attempted to make the cakes look "real." However, Robaire's was the most delious! WAY TO GO! I'll never use another baker! Thanks for making Shawn and Jes' day extra special!

Robaire's Bakey has delicious cakes, reasonable priced donuts that are made fresh daily, and all sorts of cookies, tarts, and holiday treats! I have not found a bakery down state that has as much of a selection or where all of their treat consistently tastes fresh and homemade. It is my favorite bakery!
