Dern good Polish food at dern good prices.

My girlfriend and I were going to head up to Greenpoint in search of a nice down-to-earth Polish restaurant when we stumbled on this little gem on Bedford ave, near 10th st. Everything was fresh, hot and exactly what it is meant to taste like. If Plato could imagine an idealized Polish sausage, it could not have tasted much different than the one served up here. Couple that with tall glass of Zywiec beer and you've got yourself a heck of a night. I'd recommend the Polish platter if you're not familiar with the cuisine. It says on the menu you get one of "all of the above" which includes beef liver and some random pig part, but in reality it doesn't. It's a good sized plate that slaps together some of their more mainstream dishes (kraut, kielbasa, beets and the like). At less than $15 a person including drink and tip, it's definitely worth the trip.

Polish Fav.

Raymunds dishes up the best Polish comfort food Ive ever had outside of my great-aunts kitchen. On those chilly days when all you want to do is stuff yourself sillyRaymunds is the place. I highly recommend the potato and cheese pierogis and the polish kielbasa entreesbut the real stars on the menu are the sides. My favorites are the hot sauerkraut, cucumber salad, and the beets. The mashed potatoes (topped with bacon, mmm) are hit or miss as they are often dry. Luckily, most entrees come with a choice of 3 side dishes, so you can try them all yourself. Best of all, most entrees are under 10 dollars. Top it off with one of many Polish bottled beer and youre in food heaven. The waitresses also happen to be super-hot Polish girls, if youre into that sort of thing.
