I would not recommend ABW Pediatrics based on my experience with them. My son had reoccurring ear infections for 7 months, since he was nearly 2 months old. We left the practice when he was 8 months old. Our new doctor sent us to an ENT immediately and also informed me that children should not have the same antibiotic month after month to clear infection. ABW prescribed the same antibiotic month after month for my son and now he is immune to it. \t\nMy son now has tubes to help drain the fluid that was trapped in his ears causing the ear infections. Our new doctor and the ENT doctor informed us that this will help him hear better because hearing is critical in proper speech development. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this because the doctors at ABW did not inform me. I was left to believe that my son was too young for such a procedure. \t\nWhen my son was 2 month old, he had a fever which after spending a night in the hospital it was determined that he had a viral infection, but a week later proved them to be wrong when pus was oozing from his left ear. One of their doctors gave me an antibiotic and ear drops to help clear the infection. Again, with this being my first child, I did not realize and they did not inform me that his ear drum had in fact, actually ruptured. When I told the doctors who treated him with his following ear infections that the first ear infection was treated with drops and maybe that would work again, NONE of the doctors told me that drops are only used when there is a hole in the eardrum!!!\t\nChanging doctors can be scary but not changing can sometimes be even scarier. I am so glad I found a doctor that explains what is going on with my son and uses medical terminology to diagnose him. It is very comforting to feel like we had a visit with a doctor and have a doctor who cares. Great doctors are out there keep looking you will find them!! Our children deserve the best care!
