Dr Nyquist is a horrible doctor. He is rude and uncaring and only pumps the prescriptions in the patients that he gets kick backs from the pharmaceutical companies. His staff is rude and abrasive and they double charge your credit cards and will not refund the money. CROOKS and SCAMS

I had read the previous review, but hoped it was just a rare bad experience. Unfortunately, the previous review is mostly true. I had an initial appt with Dr. Nyquist. I thought he was terrific and truly helpful. Even though he requested I come back to him, the office staff said he was booked and I would see the NP. I have seen him (the NP) twice. He is an ok guy, but I am going to find another pyschiatrist due to the treatment I get from the office staff and their outright refusal to help with insurance issues. They now send out a note saying they won't speak with insurance or pharmacies because "The insurance companies do not provide payment for this service." I just needed the dr to change the way he wrote the prescription (20 mg pills instead of 2 10mg a day) but there is no way to leave a voicemail or speak with the doctor. It's sad when you go somewhere for help and the supposed "help" is rude and belilttling. Even though I thought Nyquist was worth the month long wait to get an appointment, I cannot recommend this office.

If you like extrmely rude, unehelpful office staff, and a doctor who is more concerned with money than helping his patients than this is the place for you. I was recently a new patient at this office. When I made my initial appointment I was spoken to so rudley and abruptly. This woman who I think her name was Ann would not answer any questions but just wanted my insurance information. I was just another patient to her and she really didn't want to help me. When I went for my appointment, the first thing you see is a dark, dreary waiting room. When I wernt to check in I was greeted with the most rude and uncaring receptionist. I then had the honor of waiting almost an hour to see Dr. Nyquist. I asked another patient in the waiting room if this was normal. He said that he always has to wait at least 40 minutes if not longer to see the doctor. When I finally did see the doctor he just seemed very disinterested. He made me feel like I was just another patient. He was not a compassionate, caring doctor that is for sure. It was a horrible experience. I asked if he had samples and he said he doesn't keep any samples in his office. When I was leaving I saw a pharmacy representative who said hi to the doctor. She told him she just left more samples like he requested. It was the same medication that he just prescribed for me. Why tell me you don't keep samples when it is obvious that you do.? The billing department filed my insurance wrong so I had to speak to the office manager about this. She was such a rude person. and never said she was sorry for the error. She just had this superior air about her. Just like the doctor and rest of the staff she just had this I really don't care attitude. The other thing I noticed while there was you can here the staff talk about patients and this is personal stuff. And, while seating in the waiting room I could hear a patients therapy session with a doctor, the walls aren't soundproof. Avoid this office!!!
