Reviews about Music Works
The nicest music store, with the best people I've ever met
If you're a SERIOUS musician, consider the impossibility that a Mom & Pop music store can exist "GC" today ( expressed as "after Guitar Center" and not without the connotation that "BC" or Before Christ and "GC" are both historic points in time )
People love them and buy from them, despite 4 Guitar Centers in the Bay area. This is their 32nd year.
I've bought Yamaha and Roland keyboards, amplfiers, and band instruments. Their store isn't big is size, but the're huge in service and gigantic in customer support. They can get ANYTHING and give discounts to match GC and sometimes beat the Home Depot of music.
They make you feel like "you are their Most Important Customer" - the opposite of how I feel inside GC. They will "Help you" from the time you take your first guitar lesson to the time you buy a guitar for your own son.
Do yourself a favor and go meet the owners, Duane and Joanne, you'll become friends in short time. You can help them celebrate their 33rd year and so on . . .
