Try County Plumbing replaced my neighbor's sewer line in Glendale (Carnegie area) in late February, 2018. My neighbor asked if they could use part of my back yard for a staging area, which I agreed to, provided they fix the yard up and re-seed when finished. However, Try State Plumbing's idea of "restoring" my yard meant leaving large mud clumps, some over 1-foot high, with rock, bricks, stones and wall stones embedded in the mix. When Try County Plumbing called me because they heard from my neighbor that I was unhappy, the owner (Bob?) denied telling me he'd smooth out the soil and re-seed. Standard practice for a sewer line or outdoor plumbing project. When I reminded him that he did indeed agree to these terms, he went on a profanity-laced tirade, yelling "it'll cost me a thousand dollars to fix that!" But how is that my problem? My neighbors refuse to do anything about this matter either. Try State says bring it up with the neighbors; the neighbors say bring it up with Try State. No good deed goes unpunished. I wish I could upload a couple photos to show you what my yard looked like before, and what it looks like now. I was trying to assist a neighbor, and I got screwed by them an especially screwed by Try-State Plumbing. When I told Try-State Plumbing I was thinking of filing a complaint at the local magistrate's office, he said, "Go ahead. Chuck (the other property owner) and my employee heard us discuss this." Hardly impartial witnesses, and both who blame the other. This is what you sometimes get when you try to help out someone in need.
