not enough to eat for charges

drove 1 hour to get there, no line on saturday nite at 6:oo pm. ordered 3 dinners, meat an cheese ravioli's. received 5 small raviolis each, a small salad an day old bread. the check was $42.00. we stopped at wendy's on way home to eat. NO value at all for the money spent. food taste was fair at best.

Terrible experience at Lo Bello's

My boyfriend and his parents just ate here as per the good review on the Food Network. We all grew up in Pittsburgh and my boyfriend and I both work in the food service industry for years. There were several open tables when we walked in, but we were abruptly told to wait. After about 5 minutes we were seated. 10 minutes later a waitress finally came over and asked if "Anyone else got us yet", to which we answered no, and she walked away again. After getting our drinks, we ordered, but were informed that they were out of Fettuccine and Fagoli. My boyfriends father got his meal first. About 10 minutes later, the waitress brought out the second dish. A few minutes later, she comes over to tell me that are out of what I ordered. I asked for a menu to see what else I could eat, and it took her several minutes, and she was very rude and seem irritated that I asked! She was not apologetic about being out of half of the food items listed on the menu, rather, it was OUR fault for ordering these things. I did not end up ordereing anything, but tried a few "Springs" aka rigatoni that my boyfriend ordered. They tasted exactly like Spaghetti-O's out of a can, very sweet runny sauce. When the waitress finally brought our check, she asked us if we wanted to have dessert, interrupted herself, and said that they were actually out of all desserts as well. I asked her why and she offered absolutely no explanation. I would not refer anyone to eat at this establishment and would rather eat "Italian" food at The Olive Garden.

Disappointed and offended.

We visited LoBello's for the first time recently, expecting a good experience per its longevity and satisfactory review in the City Paper a while back. Only 3 tables had customers. The waitress, though nice, was new and lacked knowledge about the food. The food, though satisfactory in taste, was below average in portions. The hot sausage sandwich for $6.50 was the meat, bun and literally two dime-size pieces of green pepper underneath, not the peppers or onions like most other places provide. We did speak up, but got no understanding from the owners. All the lady could say as she physically poked my fiance in the shoulder was "I've been here for 60 years". The man was very defensive. He said "the menu doesn't say it comes w/peppers or onions- you have to ask", disregarding that the waitress didn't give us the option. The bill came for which the man abruptly threatened to call the police if we didn't pay. My fiance is from out of town and has owned and operated a small restaurant for 11 years and has never treated a customer like we were treated. We paid and left. We told them won't be back, and they didn't care to lose a customer. Maybe local familiar customers are treated well, but I'll tell anyone I know to spend their money elsewhere. The idea of being featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the future must have gone to their head while the customer service went out the door.
